MANAGING PARTNER
Alain Mestat brings over 30 years of experience in international banking and corporate finance, with deep expertise in sustainable finance and a strong focus on climate tech ventures and ecological transition strategies.
​
He served for 13 years as a Director at Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild Europe in Luxembourg, where he led international marketing and corporate communications. His contributions played a key role in driving business development across Private Banking, Asset Management, and Institutional Fund Services.
​
A Luxembourg national, Alain combines in-depth knowledge of the Luxembourg Financial Center with a global perspective. He holds a BA and a Master’s degree in International Finance and Economics from Brandeis University and is an INSEAD alumnus.
​
Alain has been actively involved with a portfolio of pioneering clean tech companies. In the past, he supported ventures such as Electro Engine, Eco Marine, and ECRES, and is currently engaged with innovative players including H2oVortex, Metacon, and Earth Friendly Concrete (EFC). His advisory work spans strategic finance, go-to-market acceleration, and sustainability-driven business transformation.

He was also instrumental in establishing Greenomy, one of the leading digital reporting platforms for the EU Taxonomy and CSRD in Luxembourg, helping companies align with the EU’s sustainable finance regulations and disclosure requirements.
​
He serves on the boards of several international companies and Luxembourg-based institutions and is a Lead Coach in the Digital Economy at Luxinnovation, helping high-potential entrepreneurs and start-ups scale their impact in Luxembourg and internationally. He is also a member of the EU Water Europe – Water and Finance Expert Group, contributing to shaping sustainable water and finance policy at the European level.

In addition, Alain served as a mentor in the Green Fintech program at the LHoFT Innovation Hub in Luxembourg, where he supported emerging fintechs focused on environmental and financial sustainability.
